The GOP distributed a cartoon of Trump critic and Democratic Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker holding a cheeseburger in one hand and a slice of pizza in the other and sitting before a table covered with high-caloric food including fried chicken, nachos and a milk shake. The caption reads: “My love for you is bigger than J.B. Pritzker.”
Douglas Heye, former communications director of the Republican National Committee (RNC), responded to the cartoon and wrote: “This never would have gone out when I was running the RNC comms shop. Reveling in unprofessionalism.”

When one commenter replied to Heye, “Because you have no backbone,” Hayes replied, “That, or, I spent every waking minute of every day pushing against Obamacare and we picked up 63 House seats and fired Pelosi as Speaker. Thanks.”
Note: After working for the RNC in 2010 (during the so-called Tea Party election), Heye was a senior advisor to the Iowa Republican Party, managing all communications for the 2012 Iowa Caucus.
Another commenter replied with a photograph of President Trump at the White House in 2019 smiling in front of a table covered with food from McDonald’s and wrote: “It’s also projection lol.”

Note: In August, when President Trump first threatened to send National Guard troops to the streets of Chicago, Pritzker said such a potential deployment of federal troops was “unwarranted, illegal, [and] unconstitutional,” calling the move an effort to intimidate a “blue city.”
During the summer feud, when Trump told reporters that Pritzker “should spend more time in the gym,” Pritzker responded “it takes one to know one on the weight question” and that “the president, of course, himself is not in good shape.” Pritzker is running for a third term as governor this year and is considered a potential 2028 presidential contender.
