Fox Star Mark Levin Slammed for Israel Claim, “Fought By Our Side”

Fox News star Mark Levin, a MAGA loyalist whose show President Trump has been recommending to his supporters, is being criticized for questioning the Iran proposal accepted by President Trump and for his portrayal of Israel as a neglected partner in the diplomacy efforts.

After The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday that Israel “wasn’t formally part of the Iran negotiations, wasn’t happy that it got word that a deal was finalized at a late stage and wasn’t consulted,” Levin responded on social media.

“Who’s the point man on the negotiations,” Levin wrote, “who cut out our ally, who has fought by our side — unlike most NATO countries?”

[NOTE: Israel is not a member of NATO, but is classified as a “major non-NATO ally” by the United States. Despite the ceasefire declaration, Israel has continued to bomb Lebanon, though not Iran.]

Levin questioned the viability of any deal with Iran, even as he praised Trump, who withdrew the U.S. from an Iran nuclear deal during his first term because he did not trust the Iranians to honor its terms.

Levin wrote of the current ceasefire and planned negotiations: “Do we expect the Iranian regime to honor a deal, how will we monitor it, and how will we enforce it. These will all be very difficult issues to resolve.”

Numerous conservatives criticized Levin’s use of the phrase “fought by our side” to describe the Israeli-U.S. partnership.

One commenter wrote that “Israel and the U.S. have never conducted joint ground combat operations in any war. Their alliance includes intelligence sharing, military aid, joint exercises, and U.S. resupply (e.g., 1973 Yom Kippur War airlift), but no IDF troops have fought alongside U.S. forces on the ground in conflicts like Korea, Vietnam, Gulf Wars, Iraq, or Afghanistan.”

David Giglio, a Republican who in 2024 ran for election to the U.S. House to represent California’s 20th Congressional District (but lost in the primary), replied: “Fought by our side? Give me a break. Israel sent 0 troops to fight the War on Terror and, despite pushing for a ground war in Iran, has said they intend for only American soldiers fight it. Who is paying you, Mark?? It’s time we find out.”
