MAGA influencer Katie Miller, wife of White House deputy chief of staff for policy Stephen Miller and former advisor to DOGE leader Elon Musk, criticized U.S. Representative Ro Khanna (D-CA) over stock trading after he suggested the federal government should tax the newly minted trillionaire.
Khanna said during an interview (below): “For 5% tax one time on Elon Musk, you could have universal child care in America. $10 a day for every family.”

Miller replied: “Ro is the number one stock trader in Congress. Last year, he reported 4,300 trades with 59 million in total trade volume. He also recently purchased a $9.5 million home in the DC area.”
Khanna replied to Miller: “Katie thinks the scandal is that I want billionaires to pay a little more in taxes. The real scandal is that a handful of billionaires now hold vastly more wealth than millions of working Americans. I believe those who have succeeded through work and entrepreneurship, including my family, should support our nation that made that success possible. That’s the difference in our philosophy.”

Right-wing influencer Mike Cernovich replied to Khanna, “Where is the money going to go? Another railway to nowhere? Home healthcare scams? Learing [sic] Centers? I hate that you make me defend billionaires, who overall are odious people and destructive for the country, not because of their wealth.”
Khanna replied to Cernovich with a list: “1000 trade schools, Tech institutes across America, Industrial investment bank, Childcare $10 day, Free public college” and noted, “And I have been leading the fight to ban stock trading in Congress and against corruption.”
