Over the offseason, Tua Tagovailoa signed a deal with the Atlanta Falcons.
He had spent the first six seasons of his pro career with the Miami Dolphins.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter wrote (on March 9): “ESPN Sources: Former Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa plans to sign a one-year deal with the Atlanta Falcons. The move now will give the Falcons two left-handed quarterbacks, Tagovailoa and Michael Penix, heading into the 2026 season.”

He was the first pick in the 2020 NFL Draft after an incredible college career at Alabama.
In 2023, Tagovailoa made the Pro Bowl (and led the Dolphins to the NFL playoffs).

The Dolphins are coming off a year where they missed the NFL playoffs with a 7-10 record.
They have made a lot of changes that included letting go of Tagovailoa and moving on from head coach Mike McDaniel.
On September 13, the Dolphins will play their first game of the new NFL season when they go on the road to visit the Las Vegas Raiders.
