Los Angeles Dodgers star first baseman Freddie Freeman’s wife, Chelsea, was briefly hospitalized recently due to a health scare.
While all the details haven’t really surfaced (due to obvious privacy reasons), NewYorkPost.com writer Edward Lewis wrote (on 8/7):
“The Dodgers All-Starâs spouse shared with her Instagram followers late Thursday night that she needed help from doctors after sustaining âa little health scare.â In her announcement, she included a photo of her in a hospital bed appearing to be hooked up to an IV.”
The Instagram posts have since timed out, but writer Lewis includes the social media posts in his article about the health incident.

Chelsea Freeman Shares Update After Health Scare

It’s always important to regularly attend the Doctor, especially if something feels off, and that’s clearly what Chelsea Freeman did, and it’s good news that she appears to be okay.
âIâm home & doing okay,â Chelsea Freeman noted. âSo grateful for the amazing EMTs, nurses, doctors & my family who took such good care of me.â
Channel 2 News Atlanta reporter Alex Jones wrote, regarding Chelsea’s health update:
âA good reminder that health really is everything and if something feels off, getting checked out is always the right choice.”
Chelsea Freeman is 35, and she and Freddie have been wed for a decade+ and have four children together.

Freddie Freeman and his wife, Chelsea, have built a large and strong family together since getting married in 2014.
The couple has remained by each otherâs side throughout Freemanâs MLB career, including his time with the Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers.
They have four children together, sons Charlie, Brandon and Maximus, as well as their daughter, who joined the family in 2025.
Freddie Freeman constantly speaks about how important his family is to him, especially after losing him Mother early on in his playing career, and Freddie has been very clear about how vital a role Chelsea plays in keeping the family bonded.
