On Friday, the Toronto Blue Jays will open up a series with the Phillies in Philadelphia.
The Blue Jays are coming off a 3-2 loss to the Chicago Cubs on Thursday afternoon at Wrigley Field.

Ahead of their series with the Phillies, the Blue Jays announced a handful of roster moves.
One of those moves was to designate Rudy Martin Jr. for assignment.
The Blue Jays wrote (via X): “ROSTER MOVES: 🔹 OF Brett Bateman selected to the Major League roster and will be active tonight 🔹 INF Luis Urías (right quad strain) placed on the 10-day IL 🔹 OF Rudy Martin Jr. designated for assignment Welcome to The Show, Brett!”
Martin Jr. did not appear in a game for the Blue Jays.
He had been with their Triple-A affiliate.
The 30-year-old was picked in the 25th round of the 2014 MLB Draft.
