One collector can now pull the biggest Cooper Flagg rookie card ever produced, and immediately receive an unusual trade proposal from the Dallas Mavericks.
The Mavericks announced on August 6 that they want Flagg’s one-of-one Rookie Debut Patch Autograph card. Their offer begins with two premium lower-level season tickets for the next 32 years and adds game-worn memorabilia, private Flagg experiences and a road trip to see Dallas play the Boston Celtics.
The card is part of 2026 Topps Chrome Update Basketball, which was scheduled for release August 6. Flagg’s card and the Rookie Debut Patch Autographs of Kon Knueppel, Dylan Harper, Ace Bailey and Derik Queen were inserted as redemptions, among many other valuable inserts.
That means the winning pack may not contain the completed card itself. Instead, its owner would find the unique redemption that can be exchanged with Topps for Flagg’s signed card.
What the Mavericks Are Offering for the Flagg Card
Dallas presented its bounty as a proposed trade.
The card’s owner would receive two premium lower-level season tickets for 32 Mavericks seasons, a number selected to match Flagg’s No. 32 jersey. Depending on seating prices and future ticket inflation, that component alone could carry considerable long-term value, although the team did not publish a cash valuation.
The rest of the package includes:
- A signed, game-worn Flagg rookie jersey
- A postgame photo with Flagg
- A private photo shoot involving Flagg, the Rookie of the Year trophy and the Larry O’Brien Trophy
- A VIP practice-facility tour and Mavericks meet-and-greet
- A private basketball experience at American Airlines Center for up to 10 guests
- Airfare, hotel accommodations and tickets for a Mavericks road game against Boston
For a devoted Mavericks fan, those experiences may be impossible to reproduce through a normal marketplace. For a collector or investor, however, the central question will be how the package compares with the card’s open-market value.

Cooper Flagg Card Could Command a Seven-Figure Price
There is no verified sale price for the card because it has not yet surfaced publicly.
The available comparisons nevertheless point toward a seven-figure market. Flagg’s previous card record was $366,000, according to ESPN. The first-half jersey from his NBA debut — the jersey connected to the patch inside this card — sold for $1 million.
The debut-patch category also has an important precedent. Paul Skenes’ one-of-one Rookie Debut Patch Autograph sold for $1.11 million, helping establish that collectors will pay seven figures for a unique card tied to a star’s first major-league appearance. Geoff Wilson of Sports Cards Investor told ESPN that he believes Flagg’s card could reach $5 million. That remains a projection, not an appraisal or standing cash offer.
The distinction matters. The Mavericks’ bounty may be exceptionally attractive to a lifelong fan, but its benefits are largely nontransferable experiences spread across many years. A major auction could instead provide an immediate, liquid payout.
Why the Rookie Debut Patch Matters
The card does not contain an unrelated piece of player-worn material.
Flagg wore the patch during his first NBA regular-season game, a 125-92 loss to the San Antonio Spurs in which he recorded 10 points and 10 rebounds. Topps removed that patch, authenticated it and incorporated it into the only Flagg Rookie Debut Patch Autograph card.
Its significance increased during the months that followed. Flagg won Rookie of the Year after averaging 21.0 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.5 assists, and he became the youngest player to score 50 points in an NBA game.
Flagg even expressed interest in owning the card himself. When asked at Fanatics Fest whether he might pursue it, he joked that he could need to wait for his second NBA contract.
Its eventual owner could therefore receive interest from the player, the franchise, major collectors and auction houses. The Mavericks have simply made the first public proposal, and set a remarkably high experiential floor before the redemption has even been reported as found.
