<p id=”par-1_56″>Sam Burns has become one of the PGA Tour’s most consistent American <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/sports/?swcfpc=1″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>golfers</a>. After turning professional in 2017, he worked his way through the Korn Ferry Tour before securing his PGA Tour card. His breakthrough year came in 2021 when he won the Valspar Championship, proving he could compete with the best golfers in the world.</p>
<p id=”par-2_54″><a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/celebrity-athletes/?swcfpc=1″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>The athlete</a> followed that victory up with a few more Tour titles, including another Valspar Championship in 2022 and the 2023 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play championship. Burns also represented the United States in international team competitions such as the Presidents Cup and the Ryder Cup, further establishing himself as one of golf’s rising stars.</p>
<p id=”par-3_35″>But many fans have questions about his life away from the course and the woman who is always seen cheering him on at his tournaments. Here’s what we know about Sam’s wife, Caroline Burns. </p>

<p id=”par-4_45″>Sam and Caroline (née Campbell) have known each other most of their lives as they met while attending church when they were just 5 years old. Although they attended different high schools, they reconnected years later in college, and that’s when they began dating.</p>
<p id=”par-5_35″>As Caroline told <a href=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1PSVPY4qwYs” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>WJCL</a>, “We didn’t start dating until college. But [we have] really known each other forever and … I was his first valentine when we were 5 years old. So, that’s our sweet story.” </p>
<p id=”par-6_42″>The two were together for four years before getting engaged in 2019. In December of that year, the couple tied the knot at the Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, South Carolina, the same location where Sam had proposed to Caroline months earlier. </p>

<p id=”par-7_17″>Caroline was born on April 8, 1996, and, like her husband, grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana. </p>
<p id=”par-8_51″>She and Sam both attended Louisiana State University. At LSU, Campbell was part of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and a member of Delta Delta Delta. She majored in marketing and graduated with a B.S. in 2018. She then earned her master’s degree in counseling from the Westminster Theological Seminary in 2020.</p>
<p id=”par-9_24″>As per her <a href=”https://www.linkedin.com/in/caroline-campbell1″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>LinkedIn profile</a>, Campbell has worked as a marketing coordinator for Cyber Fision and was involved in charity work for years. </p>
<p id=”par-10_52″>“As a member of Delta Delta Delta-Delta Omega, our chapter has raised over $10 million in four years, with a new goal of $60 million in 10 years for St. Jude,” Campbell wrote and added that she participates in “various fundraising activities throughout the year to benefit the children of St. Jude.”</p>

<p id=”par-11_17″>Today, Sam and Caroline are parents to a son named Bear, whom they welcomed in 2024. </p>
<p id=”par-12_33″>When speaking about their son’s name, Sam told <a href=”https://www.pgatour.com/article/news/betting-dfs/2024/05/08/sam-burns-back-in-action-after-birth-of-son-bear-wells-fargo-championship” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>PGATour.com</a>, “It was one area where I had some say. But we both like the name. We wanted to do something a little different.” </p>
<p id=”par-13_17″>Sam and Caroline recently announced they were expecting their second child, due in the summer of 2026.</p>
