Former Philadelphia 76ers Star Ben Simmons Posts Life Update Amid NBA Playoffs

Earlier this week, the Philadelphia 76ers had their season come to an end when they got swept by the New York Knicks in the second round of the 2026 NBA playoffs.

They had been coming off a series where they beat the Boston Celtics in seven games.

On Thursday, former 76ers star Ben Simmons made a post to Instagram with photos of life updates.

He captioned his post (from Miami): “Offline more than on 📱”

Simmons spent the 2024-25 season with the Brooklyn Nets and LA Clippers.

He finished the year with averages of 5.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.6 assists per contest while shooting 52.0% from the field in 51 games (24 starts).

The 29-year-old did not play in a game this season.

Right now, Simmons is a free agent who is available to sign with any team in the NBA.

Simmons’ NBA Career

Simmons was the first pick in the 2016 NBA Draft after one season of college basketball at LSU.

He was an NBA All-Star in three of his first four seasons (and the 2017-18 Rookie of The Year).

His career averages were 13.1 points, 7.4 rebounds, 7.2 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 55.8% from the field in 383 games for the 76ers, Nets and Clippers.
