Alex Fitzpatrick has been in splendid form since earning his Tour card at the Zurich Classic. After finishing tied for ninth at the Cadillac Championship, he now leads the Truist Championship by one stroke.
His brother, Matt Fitzpatrick, is also a well-known name on the PGA Tour. But what many might not know is that Fitzpatrick’s current girlfriend is also a professional golfer.
Rachel Kuehn is a member of the Epson Tour and is on track to earn her LPGA card in 2027. She improved her ranking from 40th to 16th in 2026 and can secure her card by finishing the year inside the top 15. A top-10 finish would earn her Category 9 status. A match made in heaven, it seems—both are excelling in their respective fields.
How Did Alex Fitzpatrick and Rachel Meet?

The couple met during their time at Wake Forest University. They began dating a year after Fitzpatrick, 27, graduated in 2022, according to Golfmagic. Kuehn, 24, was two years his junior and graduated in 2024.
In Season 2, Episode 5 of Full Swing, Fitzpatrick spoke about how surreal it felt that Kuehn chose him. “I’m not sure what she’s doing with me,” he joked. “So I’m pretty lucky.”
Later in the episode, it becomes clear to viewers why she chose him.
“The first time I met him, there was just something about the way he carried himself that everyone seems to be drawn to,” Kuehn said.
More recently, Matt revealed how Alex spent much of his life in his shadow and the challenges that came with it. Kuehn said she could relate to that feeling.
“I felt like I almost had something to prove, to show that I’m my own person,” she added. “Alex feels that all the work he puts into his golf kind of gets discounted because of his older brother. He really wants to feel like he can belong and that he does belong. I know how much time and effort he’s put into it.”
Alex Fitzpatrick Shares A Special Bond With Cameron Young
Cameron Young, who recently lifted the Cadillac Championship trophy and won the Players Championship earlier this year, also attended Wake Forest from 2015 to 2019.
“He’s great. I have nothing but good things to say about Cam,” Fitzpatrick said on Friday. “He really looked after me—he and a couple of other seniors took me under their wing. Cam is an unbelievable golfer.”
Fitzpatrick struggled for much of last year and was close to losing his card. That’s when he switched coaches from Mark Blackburn to Mike Walker. The move paid off, as he turned things around and won the Hero Indian Open. Young reached out afterward.
“He sent me a nice text,” Fitzpatrick said. “I love him to bits. He’s great. I’m happy to be out here with him.”
With just the final round remaining, he will be eager to add another individual accolade on a big stage.
