Chicago White Sox Let Go Of 4-Year MLB Player Before Mariners Series

On Friday night, the Chicago White Sox will open up a series with the Seattle Mariners (at home) in Illinois.

The White Sox are coming off an 8-2 loss to the Los Angeles Angels (on Wednesday) in California.

Ahead of Friday’s game, the White Sox announced that they had made a roster move.

The White Sox wrote (via X): “Prior to tonight’s series opener vs. Seattle, the White Sox recalled left-handed pitcher Tyler Schweitzer from Class AAA Charlotte and designated right-hander Osvaldo Bido for assignment.”

Bido had started out his season with the Atlanta Braves (before getting claimed by Chicago).

This season, the 30-year-old has gone 2-0 with a 6.27 ERA in 11 games.

Bido has spent part of four seasons in the MLB.

Before the White Sox and Braves, he had stints with the Pittsburgh Pirates and Athletics.
