<p id=”par-1_19″><a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/jersey-shore-ronnie-ortiz-magro-posts-unbothered-bombshell-report-drops-ex-girlfriend-jen-harley.html/”>Ronnie Ortiz-Magro</a> is opening up about his mental health after he was seen nodding off during a recent interview.</p>

<p id=”par-2_54″>“I want to start by saying thank you to everyone who has reached out and shown support,” the <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/jersey-shore-stars-say-this-is-just-intermission-as-mtv-announces-premiere-date-for-final-season-of-family-vacation.html/”><em>Jersey Shore Family Vacation</em></a><em> </em>star wrote on his <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/realronniemagro/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Instagram</a> Story on May 5. “I really appreciate all of the fans sharing their stories of mental health struggles with me. It shows that we are not alone.”</p>
<p id=”par-3_51″>Ronnie was responding to a clip of him appearing disoriented during a press event for the final season of the MTV show. The footage sparked concern among fans and his cast mates, with co-star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino sharing on social media that he’d reached out to Ronnie to offer support. </p>
<p id=”par-4_55″>In a series of posts on his Instagram, Ronnie said that his demeanor stemmed from his battle with “depression, bipolar, and anxiety.” He said that he was taking prescription medications and attending weekly therapy sessions, but that managing his symptoms was still a challenge. “These are ongoing measures and not a finite/permanent cure,” he wrote.</p>
<p id=”par-5_42″>“I have tried very hard not to let any of my symptoms impact the how I show up for my <em>Jersey Shore </em>family and the fans,” he continued. “Last week, what you saw during that interview was evidence of my ongoing struggle.”</p>

<p id=”par-6_31″>Ronnie shared that recent “emotional events” had taken their toll, and that while he thought he could manage the situation with the help of his medications, that proved to be difficult. </p>
<p id=”par-7_45″>“Wanting to be with my castmates for a press tour celebration at the same time as carrying the weight required me to work through the effects in a public setting,” he said. “As a result, I was taped nodding off, which started rumors and accusations.”</p>
<p id=”par-8_33″>“What you saw was me trying to battle through one of my toughest moments. I pushed myself to show up for other people when I needed to show up for myself,” Ronnie wrote. </p>
<p id=”par-9_37″>The reality star said the experience taught him that he needed to put his mental health first. He added that it “meant the world” that so many people had “rallied for me and seen past the rumors.”</p>
<p id=”par-10_39″>“Thank you again for everyone who sent their prayers and love!” he concluded. “It means more at a time like this than I can explain. If you know anyone suffering from mental health-related difficulties, please be kind and patient.”</p>
<p id=”par-11_17″>The final season of <em>Jersey Shore Family Vacation </em>premieres Thursday, May 7 at 8 p.m. on MTV. </p>
