Following the game, Geoff Pontes of Baseball America reported that the Braves are making a roster move.
Pontes wrote: “The Braves are calling up No. 2 prospect JR Ritchie to start tomorrow against the Nationals. Ritchie ranks 71st overall on the most recent @BaseballAmerica Top 100 list.”
Ritchie was picked 35th in the 2022 MLB Draft.
He has gone 3-1 with a .099 ERA in his first five games of the Triple-A season.

The Braves are off to an incredible start to the 2026 MLB season.
With their win on Wednesday, they are now 17-8 in 25 games, which has them at the top of the National League East.
On the road, the Braves have gone 9-4 in the 13 games they have played away from Atlanta.

Following Thursday’s game, the Braves will head back to Atlanta to host the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday.
