3x NBA Champion Doesn’t Hold Back With 76ers-Magic Prediction

On Wednesday, the Philadelphia 76ers will host the Orlando Magic for their first set of postseason action in two years.

After failing to finish the 2025-2026 NBA season with the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference, the Sixers found a little bit of luck due to a Magic loss against an undermanned Boston Celtics team.

With a home game, the Sixers are gaining some confidence from viewers as they go into their battle for the East’s seventh seed.

Count in the former Sixer, Danny Green, as someone who is confident in Philly’s chances of making the playoffs. Not necessarily because of the Sixers, but more due to the fact that the Magic have underwhelmed this season.

“Go home,” Green said of the Magic.

“They are cheeks, bro. Even without Joel—ET phone home—they’re going home. They are not playing great basketball. They just seem disconnected. They seem like they are easily thrown off track, and they quit if you go up a comfortable lead in the first or the second quarter, and they are just going to throw in the white flag. They are ready for vacation. It looks like they are ready for Cancun.”

The Magic looked like one of the most threatening up-and-coming teams in the East in recent years, and the 2025-2026 season was their time to prove that was truly the case.

With plenty of inconsistency throughout the year, the Magic have finished eighth in the Eastern Conference with a 45-37 record.

Although the Magic had an impressive winning streak down the stretch, claiming victories in six out of seven matchups in April before the finale, the 113-108 loss against Boston reserves shot down any confidence from outsiders regarding the Magic.

The Sixers Still Have Work To Do

In two out of three games this season, the 76ers have defeated the Magic. The November 25 loss was a blowout at home, as the Sixers lost 144-103. They bounced back with a 103-91 win in Orlando, Florida, in January.

Currently, the 76ers are dealing with health concerns. Joel Embiid is out after undergoing surgery for appendicitis last week. Tyrese Maxey is playing, but his finger injury is still an issue.

Nothing is guaranteed for Philadelphia at this time, despite Green’s major lack of confidence in Orlando.
