There has been plenty of chatter about where Rory McIlroy and his wife, Erica Stoll, live amid rumors about a potential move to a new house. McIlroy has hinted about a move abroad, but the golfer revealed that the family still lives in Florida.
The golfer detailed his plans to return to Florida after celebrating another Masters victory. McIlroy and Stoll split their time in Florida and the UK.
“We lose a lot more in golf than we win,” McIlroy told reporters on April 12, 2026. “So I think when the winning comes around, you have to celebrate it to the fullest.
“I’ll have a good time tonight, and I’ll probably have a sore head flying back to Florida tomorrow morning.”
Like Tiger Woods, it is believed that McIlroy still lives in Juipter, Florida. CBS Sports’ Kyle Porter reported that McIlroy purchased the home from the 4-time major champion Ernie Els in 2013.

The Daily Mail reported that McIlroy purchased the home for $11 million, but the house has doubled in value. McIlroy’s Jupiter pad is located inside the esteemed Bear’s Club gated golf community.
There is no bathroom line when the couple plays host as McIlroy’s home has 10 bathrooms and nine bedrooms. Jupiter has become a popular landing spot for star golfer with McIlroy, Woods, Rickie Fowler, Brooks Koepka and Justin Thomas among the athletes who live in the area.
“The South Florida residence also boasts a luxury infinity pool, as well as a games room, tennis court, home theater, recording studio and state-of-the-art gym,” Daily Mail’s Eric Blum detailed in a May 16, 2024, story. “The 13,000-square-foot home also has a six-car garage.
“Just outside where Stoll and McIlroy have been living are the tees for a hole for a golf course inside the gated community. The home is also surrounded by dozens of foliage, including several palm trees. The pool appears to have been renovated since McIlroy’s purchase of the home.”

With more than $114 million in career earnings on the PGA Tour, McIlroy can afford to have multiple properties. Not to mention his rumored $250 million endorsement deal with Nike.
According to The Sunday Times, McIlroy and Stoll are splitting their time between Florida and a newly purchased home in the UK in Wentworth. The city is about one hour from London, and McIlroy’s UK house is estimated to be worth $10.5 million.
McIlroy and Stoll briefly halted plans to move to the UK amid their highly publicized divorce talks before the two reconciled in 2024. The couple proceeded with the new home after reuniting, per The Sunday Times.
“Well-documented difficulties in the McIlroy marriage are also believed to have held up the move, but when the golfer halted divorce proceedings and reconciled with his wife Erica Stoll around this time last year, then the move was back on, with the couple reported to enjoy the cooler climate,” The Sunday Times’ Paul Rowan wrote in a July 12, 2025, story titled, “Rory McIlroy’s £9m house move gives Wentworth a boost.”
Additionally, McIlroy’s houses include places in New York City and the United Arab Emirates, per Daily Mail.
