<p id=”par-1_9″><em>NCIS </em>is getting ready to celebrate a major milestone. </p>
<p id=”par-2_41″>On March 24, the 500th episode of the popular procedural will air on CBS. It’s a feat achieved by only a few other scripted shows in television history, including <em>The Simpsons, Family Guy, </em><a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/mariska-hargitay-named-law-order-svu-episodetrue-departure-show.html/”><em>Law & Order: SVU</em></a><em>, </em>and <em>Law & Order. </em></p>
<p id=”par-3_77″>“In terms of a milestone, it’s sort of unfathomable to wrap your head around,” cast member Sean Murray, who has been with the show since season 1, told <a href=”https://www.tvinsider.com/gallery/ncis-episode-500-cast-cake-photos/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>TV Insider</a>. “I mean, anyone that’s been in the TV business for a long time, to get anything going is hard enough. To get something going that continues and seems to resonate with people is really kind of fantastic and I’m real proud to be a part of it.”</p>

It’s since spawned six spinoffs of its own: <em>NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: New Orleans, NCIS: Hawai’i, NCIS: Sydney, NCIS: Origins, </em>and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/ncis-spinoff-tony-and-ziva-canceled-michael-weatherly-cote-de-pablo-react.html/”><em>NCIS: Tony & Ziva</em></a><em>. </em></p>
<p id=”par-5_49″>In its 500th episode, which is titled “All Good Things,” the son of a Marine that Gibbs once helped comes to NCIS in desperation, leading the fractured team to reunite off the books. But they discover that chasing justice without a badge may cost them more than their careers.</p>
