CTA Brown Line facing ‘major’ delays due to police investigation at Belmont station

CTA Brown Line trains back on the move but facing “major” delays Tuesday morning due to a police investigation at the Belmont station in Lake View.

The investigation began sometime after 5 a.m. at the station, located at 945 W. Belmont Ave., according to alerts and website information from CTA.

Kimball-bound Brown Line trains were on the move again and normal service was being restored as of 7 a.m., according to CTA.


Chicago police confirmed there was a call of service but didn’t immediately provide further information.
