Pedestrian hit by RTD train near Colorado station

One person was taken to the hospital after they were hit by a Regional Transportation District train in south Denver on Thursday evening, police officials said.

The crash happened in the 4300 block of East Colorado Center Drive in the city’s University Hill neighborhood, near the Colorado bus and rail station, Denver police said in a 4:45 p.m. post on X.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

RTD replaced E and H line service with shuttle buses after the crash, and normal service resumed shortly before 6 p.m., agency officials said.

No one on the train reported any injuries, according to RTD.
