Gage Park shooting leaves 2 in critical condition

Two males were shot and wounded Friday night in Gage Park, police said.

A 28-year-old male and another male of unconfirmed age were walking in the 5200 block of South Kedzie Avenue at 7 p.m. Friday when they were approached by two other males.

The second pair, armed with a firearm, shot at the 28-year-old and the other male, police said. The 28-year-old was struck in the leg, police said. The other male was shot multiple times.

The shooters fled north on Kedzie Avenue in a sedan, police said. Both males who were shot were transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where they were initially listed in critical condition.


No one is in custody.
