Here’s your chance to see Chance.
And, yes, we’re talking about the Rapper.
Chance the Rapper will be tipping off the NBA All-Star Weekend festivities in a musical fashion as he headlines the NBA on TNT American Express Road Show on Feb. 13.
The show takes place at Pier 48 — not far away from where the Golden State Warriors will be hosting the NBA All-Star Game itself on Feb. 16 at Chase Center in San Francisco.
Hailing from Chicago, Chance the Rapper rose to mainstream fame with the release of the mixtape “Acid Rap” in 2013. The follow-up mixtape, 2016’s “Coloring Book,” was a smash hit that peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard 200. It also became the first mixtape to win a Grammy — in this case for best rap album — in 2017. That same year, Chance the Rapper took home the best new artist trophy.
The event will also feature TNT’s Inside the NBA studio team of Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Shaquille O’Neal, who will be providing live pre-game/halftime/postgame coverage of Oklahoma City Thunder/Minnesota Timberwolves game that same night. There will also be other basketball-related attractions.
Doors open at 3:30 p.m. PT.
