On Saturday, laptops stolen from a research lab were traced to iTek Care Mobile on South Bascom Avenue, the Campbell Police Department said in a news release.

Officers discovered the laptops were listed for sale on the shop’s website, police said.

The shop owner, a 31-year-old San Jose man, and a second suspect, a 32-year-old San Jose woman, knew the laptops were stolen and planned to resell them, police said.

“It was also discovered that stolen electronics were being packaged in the store to be shipped to Hong Kong for sale overseas,” police said.

Officers seized 29 boxes of computers, phones and tablets, police said. About 500 laptops were found at the shop.

The suspects were arrested and booked into Santa Clara County jail on charges of receiving stolen property and conspiracy to commit a crime. In addition, the man was booked on charges of violating his probation and committing a felony while out on bail.
