San Jose police arrest suspect in home invasion burglary, sexual assaults

San Jose police arrested a man on suspicion of committing a home-invasion robbery and sexually assaulting two women, according to a department press release.

The suspect is Juan Jordan, a 58-year-old Santa Clara resident. He was arrested on Dec. 10 and booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail on suspicion of robbery, burglary, assault with a deadly weapon and sexual assault. He is being held without bail.

San Jose police responded to a call of a home invasion robbery around 1:45 a.m. Nov. 2 on the 700 block of South Ninth Street. According to the press release, the suspect forced himself into the apartment and wielded a gun at three adult victims, a man and two women.

Police said he restrained all three victims and assaulted and threatened to kill the man, then sexually assaulted the two women. The man took cash and personal belongings and fled before police arrived.

SJPD Robbery Unit detectives identified the suspect as Jordan and obtained an arrest warrant and a search warrant for his residence.
