The collision was reported at 6:26 p.m. involving a woman walking near Tully Road and La Ragione Avenue, east of Senter Road, police said. The injured woman was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Additional details were not immediately available as of Friday morning. Police announced that a news release would be issued later in the day.

The collision marked the city’s 25th roadway death of the year, and the ninth involving a pedestrian who died, according to data compiled by this news organization.
