The first shooting happened around 3:25 p.m. near Spanos Street and Mahogany Way, Antioch police Lt. Joe Njoroge said in a news release. Two to three suspects in a vehicle opened fire on two victims inside another vehicle. The victims – identified as a 35-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man – were not injured in the shooting.

The second shooting was reported minutes later in the 1000 block of Sycamore Drive.

Officers did not find any victims at the scene, but they soon received word a man had arrived at an area hospital with gunshot wounds, Njoroge said. The victim was in stable condition and expected to survive.

Njoroge said officers determined the two shootings were related. Authorities on Monday did not announce any arrests in the case or release a description of the suspects.
