Lottery ticket worth $162,024 sold at San Jose gas station

SAN JOSE — Whether it was a spur-of the moment decision or a regular player is not known, but someone who stopped at a San Jose gas station Tuesday night bought a Fantasy 5 game ticket worth $162,024, officials said.

The unknown winner shared the overall jackpot of $324,048 with another person who played the same numbers at an Anaheim gas station.

The winning numbers were 2, 5, 23, 27 and 34.

The San Jose ticket was sold at the Shell gas station, 2180 Monterey Rd., officials said

The station could not immediately be reached for comment Wednesday morning. The winner has 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize.

Fantasy 5 is played every night of the week. Wednesday night’s Fantasy 5 jackpot was to be a minimum of $75,000.
