Four men were arrested during an undercover sting targeting sexual predators attempting to meet minors for lewd acts, the Marin County District Attorney’s Office announced.

The one-day operation called Operation Broken Heart aimed to catch offenders using online chat platforms to exploit children, prosecutors said.

Four suspects were charged with felony violations for attempting to contact and arrange meetings with minors for sexual purposes, the DA’s office said.

The men charged were Owen Michael Dombrowski, 26, of San Rafael, Nassor Ngabira, 24, of Santa Rosa, Melvin Rodriguez-Delafuente, 27, of Richmond, and Jose Luis Ruiz Magallon, 38, of Oakland, a press release issued Friday noted.

Rodriguez-Delafuente also faces a misdemeanor charge for attempting to provide alcohol to a minor, prosecutors said.

District Attorney Lori Frugoli emphasized the importance of internet safety, urging parents and caregivers to educate themselves and their children about online risks and maintain open communication.
