Disneyland will roll out a dozen Star Wars novelties during an upcoming festival celebrating the epic space opera as the Anaheim theme park increasingly becomes a toy store for adults in search of popcorn buckets, souvenir sippers and tiki mugs to add to their collections.
The new Star Wars collectibles will be available at Disneyland and the Disney resort hotels during the Season of the Force seasonal event running March 28 through May 11.
Past popcorn bucket launches have drawn hourslong lines filled with fans anxious to add to their ever-growing collections. The souvenir novelties are clearly directed at Star Wars collectors with limits ranging from two to 10 items per person.
Not all of the Star Wars souvenirs will be available on March 28 when the seasonal festival launches in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Tomorrowland. Some items will roll out later in the event.
Prices have not yet been released for the new Star Wars souvenir novelties. Disneyland tends to charge $15 to $35 for popcorn buckets and souvenir sippers depending on the size and complexity. Tiki mugs can be more expensive depending on the level of exclusivity.
Popcorn buckets may be filled with popcorn, French fries, cookies, puffed chips or popped grains (what popcorn is called on Batuu in Galaxy’s Edge). Sippers may be filled with fountain drinks or slushies while mugs may be served with beer or mocktails.
