CAMPBELL — A 34-year-old Campbell man was arrested following a DUI hit-and-run Nov. 27, according to a press release from the Campbell Police Department.
The crash occurred when a man drove a Toyota into a vehicle that was stopped at a red light near Winchester Boulevard and Camden Avenue, police said. He then fled the scene.
Authorities located the suspect at a Safeway, where he first provided officers with false identification, police said. In a search of his vehicle, officers found weapons such as a machete and knives, a baseball bat, a mask for the character “Chucky” in the “Child’s Play” horror movies, marijuana and empty CO2 cartridges.
