BERKELEY — A San Francisco man has been arrested as a suspect in a half-dozen non-injury shooting incidents that took place Oct. 26 near the UC Berkeley campus, authorities said.
Police said when they arrested the 45-year-old man at his San Francisco home Thursday afternoon, they found an armory of firearms and ammunition: 12 pistols and rifles and more than 15,000 bullets of various calibers.

The man was being sought in a series of gunshot incidents that began about 12:20 a.m. Oct. 26 in the 2400 blocks of Telegraph Avenue and Durant Avenue, the 2200 blocks of Bancroft Way and University Avenue, the 2300 block of Fulton Street and the 1100 block of Sutter Street, police said.
No one was injured. Police have not said why they think the suspect was firing his gun repeatedly.
Police identified the man as the suspect based on witness accounts and security camera footage. Authorities also said a gunshot detection alert system and automatic license plate reader cameras were of assistance in the investigation.
The man is being held in lieu of $480,000 bail at Santa Rita Jail on suspicion of numerous charges, including assault with a firearm, shooting into an inhabited dwelling or vehicle, shooting into an uninhabited dwelling or vehicle, willful discharge of a firearm and other crimes. He is scheduled to be arraigned Nov. 12.
