Officers found the boy four days later in the 6100 block of Orange Avenue in North Long Beach and arrested him on two unrelated no-bail warrants, police said.

While in jail, detectives found evidence tying him to the slaying of Justice Lopez, police said. They said the boy walked up to Lopez inside her home and fatally shot her about 11:45 a.m. before running away.

Officers arrived and found Lopez with a gunshot wound to the upper body and attempted to help her before paramedics arrived, police said. She died at a hospital.
