The Baltimore Ravens came into the 2026 NFL Draft to prove something and had a clear goal to protect Lamar Jackson, rebuild the defense, and reload the receiver room.
Through three rounds, general manager Eric DeCosta delivered on every front. And the Ravens’ own Pro Bowl wide receiver Zay Flowers noticed. He had something to say about it, and Ravens Nation is here for it.
Zay Flowers Weighs In on the Baltimore Ravens’ Draft Class
When your own star wide receiver takes to social media mid-draft to react, you know the front office did something right. He tweeted: “Draft Picks Been ð¥.”
Baltimore’s draft class is headlined by three key selections across the first three rounds.
- Round 1, Pick 14: Olaivavega Ioane, G, Penn State
- Round 2, Pick 45: Zion Young, EDGE, Missouri
- Round 3, Pick 80: Ja’Kobi Lane, WR, USC
What Baltimore Ravens’ Picks Mean for the Team
Theââââââââââââââââ theme for Baltimore’s 2026 offseason is very clear: secure Lamar Jackson’s protection and get back to the physical, bully-ball style that defines their team.
Jackson was pressured on 37.1% of his dropbacks last season, which was his worst rate in the entire career, so hiring Ioane as their new guard is surely the top priority and the quickest solution.
On defense, Zion Young will be placed next to Trey Hendrickson, providing new head coach Jesse Minter, who will be the one making the defensive calls, with a very strong duo of pass rushers that he can develop.
Lane brings a red-zone target to the Ravens. They have sorely missed that ever since Marquise Brown ââââââââââââââââleft.
How Baltimore Ravens Fans and Analysts Are Reacting
Ravens Nation wasted no time sounding off, and the consensus is overwhelmingly positive.
NFL Draft analyst Spenny Powers praised the value of both Day 2 picks, saying: “Zion Young is a tall, aggressive, physical edge setter⦠Ja’Kobi Lane is a towering contested catch machine⦠Both are guys that can do something for you in a role early.”
RavensFlock analyst Dev Panchwagh went even further, writing: “Still hard to believe the Ravens came away with Zion Young in Round 2⦠Paired with Vega â you have two intimidators who can restore the Baltimore Bully mentality. A+ grades.”
One fan captured the frustration with the rest of the league perfectly: “Zion Young should not have made it to the Ravens in the second round. The rest of the NFL had every chance to stop this, but they let it happen!”
The excitement around Lane was equally real. As one fan put it: “I LOVE Ja’Kobi Lane. I watched him run the gauntlet at the combine and I knew he was special. This kid has an ‘it’ factor.”
NFL analyst page graded Baltimore’s full three-round haul an A, giving Young an A and Lane a B+, while NFL Draft Files (@NFL_DF) called Young a steal, writing: “The Ravens are fortunate to get a guy of this caliber. Can never have too much talent off the edge.”
The Ravens still have Day 3 picks to work with, and if the first three rounds are any indication, Baltimore is building something dangerous in 2026.
