Nearly 600 flights delayed at DIA as snow blankets metro Denver

Close to 600 flights were delayed at Denver International Airport on Wednesday afternoon as snow blanketed the metro.

There were 587 flights delayed as of 2:45 p.m., according to FlightAware. Four flights were canceled.

United, Southwest and SkyWest airlines reported the most delays, according to FlightAware data.

More snow is expected to fall across the Front Range throughout the week, with up to a foot in Denver, according to National Weather Service forecasters.
