A motorcyclist was sent to the hospital Saturday morning after a crash on Interstate 70 near Wheat Ridge, police said.

Southbound Interstate 225 reopens after closing for crash in Aurora

Investigators believe the motorcyclist rear-ended another car near Exit 269A for Wadsworth Boulevard on I-70, according to a statement from the Wheat Ridge Police Department on social media.

Paramedics took the motorcyclist to the hospital with serious injuries, police said. No other injuries were reported.

The crash initially shut down four of I-70’s five eastbound lanes, but as of 10:00 a.m., all lanes were reopened.
