Marjorie Taylor Greene Blames Fox News Boomers, “It’s Their Own Fault”

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene

Former U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), who broke her alliance with President Trump last year, announced Saturday that a “movement has begun.”

Greene shared a photo of her with other influential Republicans who have cut ties with Trump: former Fox News star Tucker Carlson, former Director of the U.S. National Counterterrorism Center Joe Kent, and Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), and their spouses.

Greene wrote: “We said no more foreign wars and we meant it and supported Donald Trump because he made that promise. But he’s betrayed us all. Our commitment is America First for all Americans, right, left, and center. The movement has begun.”

Greene followed up her announcement by criticizing the GOP for “demonizing Democrats” by repeatedly calling them “communists”, “socialists” and “anti-Americans,” a campaign Greene says is working and with one demographic in particular, Boomers.

[NOTE: “Baby Boomers” are those born from 1946 to 1964. Greene, born in 1974, is of Gen X.]

[NOTE: Veteran of the conservative movement Gregg Nunziata has also called out Republicans, including House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) for maligning the Democrats as communists. While critics accuse the GOP of using “red scare tactics,” Nunziata wrote of Johnson: “A deeply dishonorable gentleman. Just a disgrace.”]

Greene wrote: “The GOP’s campaign strategy of demonizing Democrats because of Democrat Socialism is only sticking with Fox News boomers, and it’s their own fault. Republicans are in full power right now and Americans are struggling to make ends meet under steady inflation and high gas prices because of another foreign war that the vast majority of Americans voted against and do not support, with fears of a possible draft coming.”

Greene added: “When people can’t pay their bills and are afraid of dying in a war that has nothing to do with us, they aren’t so afraid of socialism. They are afraid of being evicted. They are afraid because they can’t find a good paying job. They are afraid because they can’t afford health insurance and healthcare. They are afraid because they are struggling to feed their family. And they are afraid of war and its consequences, rightfully so! And this is all under full Republican control with Trump in the White House commanding the lead, bullying everyone to this outcome.”

Frustrated with the Trump administration for failing to fulfill its MAGA campaign promises (no more foreign wars, make life affordable again), Greene added: “You can make the other side look scary when you are actually delivering results that are good for Americans, but when you fail to deliver for the people who supported you and betray your campaign promises, you lose their trust. And what should look scary doesn’t look so scary to them anymore.”
