LAS VEGAS — Second-year guard Kobe Sanders had 26 points and five assists to lead the Clippers to a 108-94 victory over the Washington Wizards in their penultimate NBA Summer League game on Wednesday night at the Thomas & Mack Center.
Rookie Nick Martinelli added 19 points on 8-of-9 shooting (3 for 3 from 3-point range), while fellow second-round draft pick Baba Miller added 12 points and two blocked shots on a night when Clippers first-round pick Keaton Wagler was held out for rest. Sean Pedulla finished with 16 points on 5-of-16 shooting to go with a game-high 11 assists, six rebounds and two steals in 29 minutes.
Sanders shot 9 for 17 from the field (3 for 8 from 3-point range) in 32 minutes on a night when the Clippers (2-2) shot 40% (12 for 30) from behind the arc. Fletcher Loyer added 12 points and Norchad Omier finished with 11 points and a game-high 15 rebounds.
Seth Trimble paced the Wizards (2-2) with 24 points on 8-for-12 shooting. Chris Livingston had 20 points, nine rebounds and four assists, while John Camden (12 points), Kadary Richmond (10 points, four blocked shots) and Norris Agbakoko (10 points, three blocks) also scored in double figures. Reece Beekman added nine points and nine assists.
The game featured 11 lead changes and nine ties before the Clippers pulled away with a 30-19 third quarter advantage.
