Oklahoma’s recruiting weekend has already paid off with the Class of 2024. They’ve landed a signing from four-star cornerback Jeremiah Newcombe and appear to be gaining momentum for another four-star defensive back.
The Sooners appear to be heading towards a 2024 signing of four-star safety Jaydan Hardy.

Hardy, a safety from Lewisville, Texas, is No. 13 on the 247Sports composite and ranks No. 159 in the nation. He is number 29 in the state of Texas. Rivals and ESPN also list Hardy as a four-star prospect in the cycle.
Following their visit to Norman, the Sooners received three crystal ball predictions from 247Sports and one projection from On3.
247Steve Wiltfong, Sports Director of National Recruiting, released a crystal ball prediction on Saturday afternoon. 247Sports OU insiders Parker Thune and Brandon Drumm followed with their own crystal ball predictions later in the day.
Joining us on Sunday was On3’s Sam Spiegelman, who made his own prediction on Sunday night.
Much like the recruiting of Jeremiah Newcombe and 2025 quarterback Kevin Sperry, the many predictions in such a short amount of time should bode well for the Oklahoma Sooners.
Hardy is a dynamic two-way player who will help any team he plays for, even on special teams. He has the athleticism to play throughout the back end of secondary school.
After landing seven defenders in the Class of 2023, Jay Valai and Brandon Hall have maintained the momentum as the Sooners look to rebuild and retool their secondary school. With a commitment in hand from Newcombe, the Sooners are turning their attention to meeting Jaydan Hardy and 2024 defenseman Aaron Flowers.
