The Philadelphia 76ers headed into Gianbridge Fieldhouse Saturday night looking to continue their winning streak. They found out just before the game that they needed to pull off a win against the Indiana Pacers while missing James Harden and PJ Tucker, who were obviously important to their success.
The Sixers easily did that as they defeated the Pacers 141-121 and led by as much as 24. Joel Embiid also made history that night as he had 31 points in 10-for-15 shooting and seven rebounds. and seven assists. It was the ninth straight game in which Embiid scored more than 30 points, which is a new franchise record. He broke a tie with Allen Iverson and Wilt Chamberlain in franchise history.

NBA Twitter responded to Embiid’s big night with another Sixers win:

Joel Embiid has up to 30 points, 7 boards and 7 assists with a full quarter to go.
Since the all-star break, he’s been shooting 62% (34 to 55) on midrange jumpers between 14′ and the 3p arc.
That’s in the 100th percentile of NBA bigs.

.@six @JoelEmbiid has his 30th straight game with at least 20 points, dating back to Jan. 2. It is the longest such streak of his career.
He is one of 3 players with a 30+ game streak this season and joins Barkley/Chamberlain/@Allen Iverson than the only ’76s that have ever done so.

Joel Embiid set a franchise record for most consecutive 30-point games. Some pretty good scorers have played for this franchise. Unreal run.
