Chelsea boss Graham Potter warns Kai Havertz for mocking Jordan Pickford after converting penalty against Everton

Kai Havertz directed his celebrations towards goalkeeper Jordan Pickford after scoring in Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge.

WHAT HAPPENED? Havertz scored his third goal in three games for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and converted a penalty in the 78th minute to make it 2-1 for his side. The Germany international appeared to mock Pickford as he celebrated and Graham Potter was asked after the game if he would advise Havertz against such actions in the future.

WHAT YOU SAID: “I’m not sure. When players score, they have something like an out-of-body experience,” he told reporters. “I haven’t scored many goals myself, so I don’t know. You should enjoy the celebration, I don’t think so.” , that you have to include the opponent. That would be my perspective.”

THE BIGGER IMAGE: Chelsea took the lead twice in the game but were prevented from winning as Abdoulaye Doucoure and Ellis Simms both scored for the visitors to take a point. The tie leaves Potter’s side in 10th place in the table and halted their recent revival.
