NASCAR driver for 23XI Racing hard on himself after colliding with Kyle Larson at COTA
NASCAR Cup Series drivers unload in Austin, Texas on Sunday. They are currently racing on the Circuit of the Americas’ 20-corner street course.

On lap 11 of the 68-lap race, Bubba Wallace suffered a crash. He hit the brakes and skidded right through the corner.
Wallace ran right into the side of Kyle Larson and Erik Jones. Larson was sent spinning after the incident.

It appeared that Wallace had suffered a brake failure. However, it appears that previous contact caused a broken toe joint.
The broken toe link caused major problems on lap 11. The suspension spun around was enough to brake an oil line. Jumping on the brakes, Wallace skidded through his own oil.
The race is on. But number 23 is done for today. The #23 car is entered by 23XI Racing owned by Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan.

Bubba Wallace commented
“Broken a toe joint in the back and then an oil line,” Bubba Wallace told FOX after leaving the Infield Care Center.
“I’m trying my best not to slide down the incline of self-doubt here. Two weeks in a row, made rookie mistakes, six years in the cup.”
“I need to be replaced,” Wallace added.

“He’s always so hard on himself,” said 23XI Racing’s Kurt Busch.
“He wants the best, he wants to keep improving on the street circuits. Short tracks where he knows he’s good, then the mile and a half is his cup of tea.”
“But you’re fine. There are mistakes that happen, you just don’t want to make the same one twice.”
