Wind advisory issued for Santa Clarita Valley and San Fernando Valley until Monday night

Santa Clarita Valley and San Fernando Valley are included in a wind advisory issued by the National Weather Service on Monday at 5:48 a.m. The advisory is in effect until 9 p.m.

The NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA says to anticipate, “Northwest winds increasing to 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” according to the NWS. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
