Wind advisory issued for Los Angeles County until early Saturday morning

Western Antelope Valley Foothills, Eastern Antelope Valley Foothills and Antelope Valley are included in a wind advisory issued by the National Weather Service on Friday at 6:05 p.m. The advisory is in effect until Saturday at 4 a.m.

The NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA said, “West to northwest winds 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” according to the NWS. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
