Wind advisory issued for Antelope Valley Foothills and Antelope Valley from Sunday to Tuesday

Western Antelope Valley Foothills and Antelope Valley are included in a wind advisory issued by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 2:51 a.m. The advisory is valid from Sunday 3 a.m. until Tuesday, Mar. 4 at 3 a.m.

“West winds 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected,” according to the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA. “There is a good chance that windy conditions could extend through Tuesday and Tuesday evening.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” the NWS said. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
