Country star Willie Nelson is reuniting with iconic singer-songwriter Bob Dylan for the summer Outlaw Festival tour.
The two musicians will headline the Hollywood Bowl and be joined by Billy Strings and Sierra Hull in Los Angeles on Friday, May 16. Two additional California stops are scheduled at North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre in Chula Vista on Thursday, May 15 and at the Toyota Amphitheatre in Wheatland on Sunday, May 18.
“What an amazing lineup to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Outlaw Music Festival Tour,” Nelson said in a press release. “I can’t wait to join friends and family in bringing this celebration to the fans we love.”
Tickets for the tour go on sale on Friday, Feb. 7, at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.com. Citi card members will have access to presale ticket time through 10 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, through the Citi Entertainment program. For complete presale details, visit citientertainment.com.
The nationwide Outlaw Festival Tour will also include performances by Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Sheryl Crow, Turnpike Troubadours, The Avett Brothers, Wilco, The Red Clay Strays, Lake Street Dive, Waxahatchee, Charles Wesley Godwin, Lucinda Williams, Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers, Trampled By Turtles, The Mavericks, Willow Avalon, Waylon Payne, Madeline Edwards, Lily Meola, Myron Elkins and Tami Neilson. The lineup will vary at each event, with only Nelson and Dylan performing at every show.
Although the festival tour is billed as the 10th anniversary of the festival, the first one occurred in 2016 in Scranton, Pa. and featured Nelson, Crow, Neil Young, Promise of the Real, Chris Robinson Brotherhood and Lee Ann Womack.
By 2017, Outlaw Festival became a summer tour where Nelson has since been joined by several different acts, including Chris Stapleton, Bonnie Raitt, Brandi Carlile, John Fogerty, John Mellencamp, Luke Combs, My Morning Jacket, Van Morrison, Eric Church, Jason Isbell and Dylan. Last year Dylan joined the touring festival for its entirety, but Nelson had to miss a few shows due to health problems, his son Lukas Nelson helped fill in.
