Police are investigating a collision that killed a pedestrian late Wednesday in the Sherman Oaks/Valley Glen area of the San Fernando Valley.
Los Angeles Police Department officers were called at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday to the intersection of Hazeltine Avenue and Burbank Boulevard, where they found the victim, an LAPD spokesman told City News Service.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel.
According to witnesses, the driver was traveling west on Burbank when they collided with the victim, police said.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
