Yosemite is the focus of an updated winter storm watch issued at 4:01 a.m. on Tuesday by the National Weather Service. The watch is valid from Wednesday 10 a.m. until Saturday 4 a.m.
The NWS Hanford CA says to prepare for, “Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations up to 86 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 55 mph.”
“Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes. Strong winds could cause tree damage,” according to the NWS. “Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation.”

Keep an eye out for snow plows and allow them ample room to pass. Only overtake a plow when you have a clear view of the road ahead.
