Update: Wind advisory for Los Angeles County until 3 a.m. Wednesday

5 Freeway corridor near Santa Clarita, Western San Gabriel Mountains/Highway 14 Corridor, Western Antelope Valley Foothills, Eastern Antelope Valley Foothills and Antelope Valley were placed under an updated wind advisory by the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 12:53 p.m. The advisory is in effect until Wednesday at 3 a.m.

The NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA said, “West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” the NWS said. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects.”
