Update: Wind advisory affecting Los Angeles County until Thursday midday

Los Angeles County was placed under an updated wind advisory by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 3:58 a.m. The advisory is valid from 6 p.m. until Thursday noon.

According to the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA, “North winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” the NWS said. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”

  • Santa Ynez Mountains Eastern Range
  • Santa Barbara County Interior Mountains
  • Southern Ventura County Mountains
  • Northern Ventura County Mountains
