Update: Wind advisory affecting Los Angeles County until early Saturday morning

Western Antelope Valley Foothills, Eastern Antelope Valley Foothills and Antelope Valley were placed under an updated wind advisory by the National Weather Service on Friday at 12:19 a.m. The advisory is valid from 10 a.m. until Saturday 4 a.m.

According to the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA, “West to northwest winds 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” the NWS said. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
