Studio City woman followed home and shot, police say

A Studio City woman was shot by assailants who followed her home late Friday night, Mar. 14, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

The shooting was reported at 11:10 p.m., near 3944 Kentucky Drive and Lankershim Boulevard, Officer Norma Eisenman said.

The 39-year-old victim, whose name was not released, had just parked her vehicle when two suspects, who had followed her in a silver sedan, approached her. The suspects fired multiple shots before fleeing the scene, Eisenman said.

The woman, who had a gunshot wound to her left leg, was transported to a hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics. No details regarding her condition were available on Saturday.

Police described the suspects as men wearing black clothing and black masks, but no further details about them were available. Nor was it known if the attack was random, or what the motive was.
