Six Flags Magic Mountain adds a few new surprises to Holiday in the Park

Six Flags Magic Mountain will twinkle with two million Christmas lights this holiday season as Santa Claus brings a sleighful of seasonal music, food and nightly snowfall to the Valencia amusement park.

The 10th annual Holiday in the Park seasonal event returns to Magic Mountain on select dates from Thursday, Nov. 28 through Jan. 5.

The entertainment lineup includes three new shows: “Unwrapped: Holiday Magic,” “Elf-a-Palooza” and “Reindeer Dash.”

“Unwrapped” will serve as the opening ceremony each evening.

  Community meetings in the San Fernando Valley, Aug. 12-19

“Elf-a-Palooza” will feature choreographed dance moves by elves and toy soldiers.

“Reindeer Dash” will recast terrifying Fright Fest clowns as Santa’s reindeer in a slider showcase filled with music, laughter and cheer.

Visitors can walk through 30-foot-tall ornaments on Jingle Bell Way and stroll along a lighted candy cane lane on Peppermint Path.

Santa’s cottage will offer visits and photos with Mr. and Mrs. Claus and their merry elves.

Faux snow — or “snoap” — will fall in Holiday Square along with regular visits by the Traveling Toy Soldier Troupe.

HollyRock will take holiday revelers back to the 1950s with rockabilly music, classic cars and jolly jugglers.

A choreographed light show will bedazzle Wishing Ridge near the Viper coaster.

Live country music will be performed by Drivin’ Mama Crazy along the Peppermint Path and DJ dance parties will take place on the Full Throttle stage.

Holiday-inspired foods found throughout the park will include cranberry turkey legs, Christmas tamales, peppermint bark and white chocolate candy apples.

The Holiday in the Park seasonal event at Six Flags Magic Mountain starts at 5 p.m. each night and runs on Nov. 28-Dec. 1, Dec. 6-8, Dec. 13-31 and Jan. 1-5.
